QOTSA, STONE SOUR, SILVERCHAIR: First-Week Sales Numbers Revealed
September 4, 2002QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE shifted 49,629 units of their latest effort, Songs For The Deaf (according to Soundscan) during the album's first week of release, landing at position #17 on the Billboard Pop Album chart. Meanwhile, STONE SOUR, led by SLIPKNOT vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root, sold 25,737 copies of their self-titled debut, to debut at position #46. SILVERCHAIR, on the other hand, moved 15,241 copies of their latest, Diorama, to arrive at #91.
